One of the key features of the Derby Thin Wall Steel Horseshoes is their nail pattern. With a nail hole placement designed specifically for thin wall horses, these shoes provide optimal choice of nail placement, with toe clip versions feature offering a 12 nail hole pattern, while side clip versions have a 10 nail hole pattern.

Heel Boxing And Sole Relief

With heel boxing and sole relief these shoes are designed to provide support and comfort that is tailored to horses with thin hoof walls.

Provides Extra Wear

Offering an ideal a true section, meaning the section width and thickness has minimal variation, with a size 6 = 20mm (wide) x 9.5mm (thick), the variation is minimal with 0.5mm variation down to Size 4 and up to size 8.  This shoe being a dropped forged horseshoe and a minimal section variation, will result in a horseshoe that will provide great wear for thin walled horses.

Manufactured from a low carbon steel, the Derby Thin Wall Steel Horseshoe collection offers strength in both the shoes and their clips. All options within the range are drop forged in a concave profile that will suit many types of applications.

Nail Suitability

All options within the Derby Thin Wall Steel Horseshoe range are punched for both E3Slim and E4Slim nails. They are suitable for use with E3Slim nails in sizes four through six, and E4Slim nails in sizes six through eight.
